Riga, Liepaja and Jelgava collected the biggest investments in Latvia

In 2014, the most investments in Latvia were attracted by companies based in Riga, Jelgava and Liepāja (on the coast of the Baltic Sea). And leaders in terms of number of transactions were Riga (4.824 transactions, because of most companies registered in capital), Jurmala (170) and Mārupe Municipality, LETA reports referring to Lursoft.

The record investment in 2014 was registered in Babīte Municipality (in 2013 – Daugavpils), where the company of Ostermalm Property Investments Limited has invested €13.21 million. In addition, the Swiss company of Divertimento Investment AG has invested €7.2 million in Jurmala Golf Course, formerly Saliena Golf Course. It is the largest transaction in 2014 in Babīte region.

The largest transactions in Riga were €104.54 million (SPI Regional Business Unit BV has invested in a new company of Amber Beverage Group) and €62.18 million (Merko Ehitus – in MerkoInvestments company).
